I became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School and received my certifications from My Vinyasa Practice, the teacher training school developed and led by Michelle Young, located in Austin, Texas.  I am currently an RYT 500 certified teacher and a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP).  My passion for sharing the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual benefits of yoga with others in
spired my  vision for Your Yoga. In addition to Yoga I am a certified Aromatherapist and Master Gardener, so wellness is the root of my life experience.  I hope to share my passions with you so please to come to a class to meet our teachers and experience your yoga journey with us!

I spent thirty years in a career as a lay professional and then an ordained pastor, I retired and moved back to the York area. Over the years I participated in yoga classes as my schedule allowed, and was always intrigued by the spiritual/meditative aspects of the practice of yoga. Once back in York I discovered "Your Yoga" and was immediately impressed by the teachers. The more intimate setting was also inviting as it encouraged relationships that might not have happened in a larger venue. I decided to sign up for the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training last March with the intention of deepening my own practice, By late Spring I thought I might offer a class to folks in my senior living community. But following graduation from the training I was invited by Cindy to teach a Gentle Yoga class at Windy Hill Senior Center, and was then invited to teach Chair Yoga there as well. This has been quite the journey and I feel honored and blessed to be sharing yoga with others.

Hi, I'm a passionate, certified yoga teacher with a deep commitment to healing and well-being. With multiple styles of yoga, I specialize in Yin Yoga, a practice that emphasizes longer-held, passive poses to target the deep connective tissues and fascia. Yin Yoga fosters deep relaxation and stillness, allowing for emotional release and physical restoration. Through my personal practice, I have experienced the profound benefits of Yin Yoga, which encourages a slower, more mindful approach to movement and breath. I believe this practice is particularly powerful for reducing stress, enhancing flexibility, and cultivating inner peace. My classes offer a safe and nurturing space for students to slow down, tune into their bodies, and find balance in both body and mind. I strive to  create an environment of support and compassion, guiding students of all backgrounds and abilities to deepen their practice and connect with their inner strength. Whether teaching restorative sessions or more dynamic flows, I remain dedicated to using yoga as a tool for transformation, healing, and overall wellness.

I have been a yoga student for over 11 years and have been teaching yoga for over 8 years. I strive for authenticity, holding safe space for students, and teach from a trauma-informed place. I offer options and modifications in all of my classes. I focus on breath and body awareness that supports a balanced nervous system even when the movement(s)/pose might be challenging. Your Yoga has been my main teaching home for over 3 years and I offer between 3-5 classes a week as well as monthly special class offerings such as Sound Meditations, Yin, and other various workshops. In addition, I offer private Sound, Yoga and Reiki sessions at the studio as well as other places in York and surrounding areas. In life, I follow the 8 limb path of yoga because it supports me to grow as person. I'm also a mom to a beautiful 11yo daughter named Olivia, a cross-fit coach, and a musician. I am so grateful to be living my dream of helping others connect to the best version of themselves through yoga and sound I

Since 2012, I have regularly practiced yoga at a variety of studios in the York area.  I studied the yoga teachings of Jimmy Barkan in 2017 and began to serve as a substitute teacher at Yoga for Life.  In March of 2022, I completed my YTT 200 certification and focused on the physical and spiritual nature of yoga teaching. I look forward to sharing the gift of Yoga with students.  In addition to teaching yoga, I am a lecturer in Rhetorical Communication at York College of Pennsylvania.

I’m a certified yoga teacher with over 400 hours of teacher training in Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Hot Yoga, and Yoga for Anxiety and Depression. My approach gives careful attention to postural alignment and brings awareness to the union between our body, mind, and breath. I began practicing yoga in 1998 while working full time and attending college. I was interested in learning yoga as a stress reduction tool. I immediately noticed a difference in my body, my mind, and my breath. In 2007, after losing my father unexpectedly, I decided to pursue my first yoga teacher training in Hot Yoga at Charm City Yoga in Baltimore, MD. I experienced a bulging disc injury in my lower back and learned firsthand about the wisdIom behind the yoga sutra Sthira-Sukham Asanam, which translates to Asana is Steadiness and Ease. My injury taught me to approach my practice with patience and curiosity, to observe the messages my body was sending as well as those of my mind/ego. In doing so, my practice deepened and my life perspective shifted profoundly. In 2011, I completed a 200 hour teacher training with YogaWorks in Los Angeles, CA and began my teaching journey. In 2012, while pregnant, I completed my certification in prenatal yoga, my favorite class to teach. I delivered both of my children naturally, using the prenatal yoga techniques I teach in my classes.

I am excited to collaborate with the team at Your Yoga and expand the offerings with a focus on Women’s self-defense course series. My martial arts journey started at the age of 11. As a young pre-teen it was a challenge to work with male adults in a classroom setting. However, this experience offered me insight into my own power to manage situations and find my inner strength. I have studied the art of Kenpo Karate for over 25 years. I am a 1st degree black belt in the art of Kenpo Karate. I had the pleasure of competing in tournament style fighting and technique with 1st place divisional competition ranking. The blend of yoga practice and martial arts has allowed me to grow as a person and apply these concepts in a physical and holistic manner. Please join me in this experience to empower and support you in your self-defense skills journey.

I've been exploring the depths of yoga since 2008, and in that time, it's become an integral part of my personal growth journey, alongside daily meditation and breathwork. As a 200-hour certified instructor, I'm thrilled to guide others on their own paths. My training is in Power Vinyasa, which brings energy and strength to my classes, but I also deeply value the quiet power of mindful movement and offer gentle flows that nourish the body and mind. I believe that breath, movement, and mindfulness are inextricably linked, and I weave these elements into all my classes, with a special emphasis on my Gentle Yoga with Nidra offering. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and share the joy of practice together. I'm excited to share space with you!

I am a graduate of Your Yoga’s 200 hour Teacher Training Program and I am currently working on advancing my knowledge and training to earn my 500 hour certification. I enjoy teaching gentle, power, and Vinyasa yoga. I began my yoga journey several years ago as a way to include variety to my weight lifting and cardio workouts. Several shoulder surgeries later, including a replacement, I turned to yoga as a way to build back the strength and flexibility I had lost. Once I began practicing on a regular basis noticed I not only felt stronger but also calmer, I handled stress in a more productive way and I felt good in my body. I enjoy helping others strengthen their bodies as well as find peace and rest. I hope to show yogi’s that yoga is for everyone, in every stage of life, no matter the limitations you may have. I hope you see you in class.
